Watching, Waiting & Expecting

When a child of God is surrounded with worry, woe and trouble,
he can find comfort in knowing He has the One and Only God
to come to, cry out to and to look to.

We may rejoice and find satisfaction when reaching out to Him.

Submission
 by looking and waiting

Look to Him ~ but at the same time ~ Look for Him

How many times have I not realized He was at work,
because I was not looking for HIM.

Depending
Knowing HE is going to work

Waiting
In His own way and in His own time.

The song by Casting Crowns
"I'll worship while I'm waiting"
comes to mind.
You might want to google & listen to it.

All may look bright above me,
when all is black around me.  ~ Matthew Henry

Just some thoughts jotted down,
I pray you have a wonderful day worshipping
the One who is longing for fellowship!

It looks like the Lord took us down a similar path this week. Your photo with the bleakness from the withered leaves reminds me of my post with the crumpled leaves from our frost-bitten citrus trees.
Hope you have a joy-filled day and stop by for a visit.
Blessings,
Janis

Hi Karen...this sort of goes with what I posted. I've learned He always comes through...never lets us down...but usually there is a wait...Have a great Sunday.

I love everything from Casting Crowns...they bring me into the throne room. Words from one of their songs says, "deep water faith in the shallow end"...it so spoke to me when I wondered why my faith seemed so small..well when I thought I had great faith I was in shallow water. Our pastor, who is battling cancer, said last night, I know God has healed me, but when the doctors continue to tell me I will die from this my faith weakens and I cry out God strengthen my faith. We all go in and out of the waiting room. May you meet Him there in a new way.
Blessings and thanks for sharing.

Sometimes we get so concerned with life's troubles,
we forget to look to Him.
Thank you for a wonderful post!

Karen, your photo is very, very nice. I love the Scripture you chose for it. Very nice reflection of "keeping watch."

Love the worship while I am waiting. For years I lived life on hold -- waiting for all to be good -- not realizing that truly living means embracing the now, worshiping, and praising.

Excellent post full of truth!
