Time makes noise

I rested Sunday afternoon while sitting in my chair.  But, the quietness of the room, made me aware of one thing.  The repeating noise.

The ticking of the clock, the small one, the one whose hands move.  It had been noticed earlier in the week.  I had planned to remove the batteries.

But, Sunday afternoon as I stretched out under my throw, (the ticking) became one of those "moments" meant for my attention.  The constant was a reminder of "great moments" pushing by, am I allowing myself to linger to acknowledge and recognize each one as grace gifts from God.

I will not be slipping the "life giver" out of the little clock.  The ticking will be used as a reminder that "each movement of the hand counts."

These life giving moments have been given to me - to say thanks.
For my learning, drawing close and looking unto the
 "Giver of Life"
and for seeing them written on paper.

a beautiful list of thanks.
Laughter (with your Mother in law) is one we share. I noticed this week that laughter is a often repeated line in my weekly lists.

Precious and such grace filled words... beautifully written
I love the cardinal banner. My husband's aunt loved cardinals and she said every time something wonderful happened to her she would look up and see a cardinal..she is now with the Lord, but when I see a cardinal I remember her and smile.
Great list!!

Karen, thank you for visiting me at Southern Lagniappe, and for taking the time to leave a comment. I'm so glad it led me to your lovely "Places of My Heart."

Your pictures and sentiments are beautiful, and I look forward to reading more of your stories.

I hope you receive encouraging results from you tests, and your doctor can help you feel better soon.

I am going to add your "Places of My Heart" to my blog list and will be back to visit again.

Sincerely,

Janie
