~favorite smell of fall

the cool crisp morning air
has brought the desire to smell
 the flavors of fall

I'm slowly putting things in place
that remind us of fall,
so the joy of baking & welcoming
friends and family
will be made special in the weeks to come.

AHHH, the smells this time of year
hickory wood burning
hot chocolate
hazelnut = my favorite
just to name a few

I placed Community Coffee Hazelnut Beans
in the large hurricane lantern & then added the
hazelnut candle.
Such a wonderful smell is filling our home,
makes for a Simple Pleasure.
(shhh - husband don't really love the smell like I do)

Our oldest is coming to visit,
so I'll not be at the computer too much.
Joining these next week.

Hope you have a great week!

This is beautiful, Karen! I love white pumpkins, and I can only imagine how wonderful your kitchen smells with coffe beans in your hurricane! Love it! And, thank you for your sweet note about my painted pumpkins! I look forward to seeing what you do with your chalk paint! Becca (your newest follower)

Such cozy scenes as we head into autumn. Like the idea of putting coffee bean in a hurricane lamp.

Yummy, I am changing out the scented candles too! Love the color of that one in the beans. Community coffee the best!

If that candle nestled in the coffee beans has a pumpkin smell, you just nailed my two favorites in one shot. I love it, and I love the smell of autumn. To me, there is nothing quite like it.

This is so pretty, Karen, and it looks like it smells sooo yummy! I just may give this a try. I love a good smelling house and certain aroma's can make it even more cozy to me. Enjoy your visit with the oldest.

Oh, I can almost smell that. What a great idea for the coffee beans -- I'll have to copy that -- posting to Pintrest so I'll not forget :)

Enjoy your visit :)

I do love the smells and sights of fall but since it is so hot here, it's hard to even think that it could be that time of year. Enjoy your weekend. Tammy

I love your idea and I am going to the store right now! Your centerpiece is beautiful! I love Fall, especially this year. It has been so hot and dry down here in Texas, I just hope it ends soon.

I'm your newest follower and would love for you to follow me.
Have a wonderful day!!

Your autumn decor is beautiful, I love the hurricane lanterns, the water droplet effect is so attractive. Fabulous photos too. I always love the lighting/colour in your photos.

Love your candle and the white pumpkins. I rarely decorate for Fall here on the Gulf Coast, or at least not until Nov when we actually feel a cool breeze once in awhile. I just visit all the yummy blogs with their decorations and if I am lucky go North for a time to enjoy "Real" Fall as I remmeber it. Am Yankee at heart, always. Enjoy the vist from your oldest. Blessings,
