~the joys of summer

Rest is not idleness,
and to lie sometimes on the grass
on a summer day listening to the murmur of water,
or watching the clouds float across the sky,
is hardly a waste of time.
  ~ John Lubbock

update: the past month has been filled with
travel, visits, and rest - blogging has taken
a backseat - but I know you understand.
I am sure it will return on a regular schedule
once the "joy" of summer is enjoyed!

Enjoy those precious days. I don't think that blogging should be done out of duty, but rather whenever on wants to.

So fun to see this today...you were on my heart! I got a little closer to you last week, I was in Jefferson Texas...but only for a very short 30 minute visit.

Blessings and enjoy your summer...oh looks like your boys have been fishing

I'm so glad you can enjoy the summer, my friend. It's too hot hear to enjoy, but the eating is good. :)

Love the last photo especially, Karen. There are seasons in our lives when we must take breaks. I've just returned to blogging after a season of anxiety and struggle. It's great to have the peace of the Lord once again.
Blessings,
Janis

Enjoy your summer to the hilt. It's hot as heck over here so I'm stuck inside for the most part. Best wishes, Tammy
