~november's beginnings

learning a different pace of life
enjoying the sweetness of slowing

not hurrying through life,
taking the back roads

adds a whole different meaning
to living life to it's fullest

and the most wonderful surprises can be waiting
around the bend of the road

take the extra moments to turn the engine off
and explore up close
those surprises you are given

beauty can be found

trials, heartaches are beauty being developed
requiring our attention to be turned toward
the Source of our strength, the Lord.

He makes all things beautiful in His time.

"Lord, please show me every day
as You're teaching me Your way,
that You do just what You say
in Your time."
words: Diane Ball 1941

~may your November beginnings
be slow and focused upon
having thankful hearts.

Simply beautiful from start to finish Karen! We took a family walk through the woods this weekend and just marveled at God's creation. It was so good to breath it all in and just experience that together. We are encouraging our kids to develop a sense of the importance of those moments! :-)

Looking at your amazing pictures, I am reminded of the lyrics to "This Is My Father's World." Blessings to you Karen.

I didn't realize that that song was so old. I have always loved it.

Your pictures and your words are beautiful, Karen. As one who has been forced to learn to take things slowly, I loved them.

Wonderful! I love all these! Have you noticed how low the doorways are on those little logs buildings!! Wonder how they ever got in and out of there. This one may have been a storage house of some kind. Enjoyed the drive with you!

Amen....the surprises around the bend. I needed this today as we got word back from the doctor on our daughter-in-law's infertility test. God is in control and I am going to go for a walk and ask Him to show me what is around the corner.

Blessings as you alter your life and enjoy what sweetness He is showing you.

Beautiful photographs Karen. It is the season of slowing down-or at least it is for Mother Nature. Most people think this is the time to rush around for the holidays, but I don't think that is the way it was meant to be.

This post is beauty and truth in every way....
I have grown up kids who love to come home often: I am also doing more of learning a different pace and enjoying more along life's way.
I am always reminded that Jesus was never in a hurry...
