The photo was taken during the Thanksgiving Holidays.
My mother-in-law and I slipped off for a few hours to a
nearby town, Natchitoches, LA.
I have created a link for those who would like more information.
Cane River flows through this beautiful town which
is steeped with an abundance of history.
Joining the others at Katie's today for

Beautiful photos Karen!
Have a nice weekend.
Oh one of my favorite places...so many young memories made there...thanks for posting, it makes me feel like I have gone again!
Wow those columns are gorgeous
The columns feel so powerful, especially with the scripture on them.
This is a great illustration for that verse in 1Samuel.
I love the placement of the verse on your photo. Have a blessed Sunday.
I have to admit that 1 Samuel isn't normally a book I give much thought. Thanks for sharing this verse today!! And such a great photo to go with it!
I love the photos Karen and thank you so much for your sweet comment on my blog. Merry Christmas!

Great visual for the scripture and I love the title--

Hoping your week is lovely.

HI Karen! Oh, your snap is just perfect with the scripture.
Thank you for popping in to see me and to answer your question - I think I'm tired! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Beautiful photo! I love Nachitoches! I used to live in Jonesboro, close to Ruston, Monroe, etc. Nachitoches was the half way point to home in TX. So pretty at Christmas time!
