I took some time this afternoon to join someone
and enjoy the last of what is fixing to be gone.
Of course, He was waiting...
we shared time together enjoying the fading colors,
admiring the small details on the acorns,
and loving the last blooms.
But, looking forward to what November holds for us,
with it being the first day.
I love to plan and write things down.
Nothing wrong with longing and planning.
making preparations for visits
waiting for hugs from those we don't touch everyday
marking the calendar for "God" things
choosing the best travel days
expecting the Lord to work in lives
longing for answered prayers
menus being written
giving thanks to the Lord with family
anticipating fellowship
anticipating fellowship
Anniversaries, Birthdays, and a Wedding
to be celebrated
For that ye ought to say,
If the Lord will, we shall live,
and do this, or that.
James 4:15

Hi Karen,
It's so interesting to see your pictures, because you experience fall where you live so differently than I do in California. Keep on taking those great pictures, I look forward to more!
God bless you,
Michele Katherine
I love acorns...when we were in Illinois a couple of weeks ago, I brought a whole bag home. I love nature and the closing of this season and the anticipation of the great family holidays to come. Come say hi :D
Thank you so much for this today Karen! This time of year I find myself so excited for the weeks to come and yet melancholy at the same time missing my beloved family who all live so far away. It is a funny mix of emotions! Thanks for this moment of pause...I needed it tonight for sure! :-)

Hi dear friend,
Your pictures are wonderful and the thoughts and words even better. I really love the fading color of the leaves--real nice!
I can't believe I missed your gleaners post. I don't know how I did that but I love that picture. I know it looks pretty in your bedroom.
Have a great week.
Loving you,
Dianne
Such a heart-warming post and lovely Autumn photos to brighten my morning! Hope you have a nice Tuesday Karen.
Those pictures are so beautiful! I have to enjoy them vicariously because we have nothing so lovely around here.
I also love that scripture and how you tied it to making plans. He's right, of course... If the Lord wills...
Your pictures are beautiful, your words
loving and encouraging.
Blessings,
Sandy
Karen, a sweet post. Longing to do some of those things with you!
Your post reminds me that I need to "be still" - thanks for the nudge! :)
What beautiful pictures and a wonderful way to think..looking forward to what each month and each season brings us...I tend to want Autumn to last forever :)
