O Beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife,
Who more than self their country loved,
And mercy more than life!

America! America!
God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

So thankful for those who have served
and are serving our country!
We fly our flag proudly,
and it is a reminder of my daddy,
who served his country in WWII.

Beautiful Karen! Thanks so much for making sure we remember that today isn't just about a break from school or work! :-)

Beautiful, Karen. Beautiful.
Thanks for the post...we listened to Oliver North this morning then went outside and put our flag out, said the pledge and prayed. We also prayed for all the families who had soldiers in any wars past and present. Thanks to your DAD and his family.
We do too...and your dad was such a handsome man...love the flag picture too. God bless our country and those who are willing to defend it! :D
Wonderful picture of your Dad, Karen. I am so thankful to all who have (and continue) to serve. Very pretty photo of the flag flying also.
Wonderful post about our veterans and your dad...don't all men look handsome in a uniform? Seeing the American flag, standing with my hand over my heart and say the pledge always reminds me our country and the veterans who have kept our country free and help other parts of the world enjoy those same priviledges.
Great post, great tribute! I love looking through the glass door at the flag. Touching.
Excellent photos and a sweet tribute!
Love your photo. Thank you for the tribute to our Veterans. My Dad also served in WWII and my husband and all of my cousins have been in the military. Willing to give their lives so that we might have peace.
Blessings,
Janis
