~favorite smell of fall

the cool crisp morning air
 has brought the desire to smell
 the flavors of fall
~~~~~~~
I'm slowly putting things in place
that remind us of fall,
so the joy of baking & welcoming
friends and family
will be made special in the weeks to come.
~~~~
AHHH, the smells this time of year
hickory wood burning
hot chocolate
&
hazelnut = my favorite
~~~
just to name a few
~~~

I placed Community Coffee Hazelnut Beans
in the large hurricane lantern & then added the
hazelnut candle.
  Such a wonderful smell is filling our home,
makes for a Simple Pleasure.
 (shhh - husband don't really love the smell like I do)

Our oldest is coming to visit,
so I'll not be at the computer too much.
Joining these next week.

Hope you have a great week!

 from the fires & floodwaters.

And, thank you for your sweet note about my painted pumpkins! I look forward to seeing what you do with your chalk paint! Becca (your newest follower)

  7. If that candle nestled in the coffee beans has a pumpkin smell, you just nailed my two favorites in one shot. I love it, and I love the smell of autumn. To me, there is nothing quite like it.

  10. I do love the smells and sights of fall but since it is so hot here, it's hard to even think that it could be that time of year. Enjoy your weekend. Tammy

  17. Love your candle and the white pumpkins. I rarely decorate for Fall here on the Gulf Coast, or at least not until Nov when we actually feel a cool breeze once in awhile. I just visit all the yummy blogs with their decorations and if I am lucky go North for a time to enjoy "Real" Fall as I remmeber it. Am Yankee at heart, always. Enjoy the vist from your oldest. Blessings,
    Lynn
