Garden Treasures

I thought I would share what my husband has been tending in the garden. Aren't the colors of God's creation beautiful?  Zinnas in the summertime are such a treat for me and him too.  He knows I love flowers and he can surprise me whenever he likes. 
I get excited everytime he brings them in.

And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. Genesis 2:18

There is a special  place of my heart  reserved for the one
 God gave me.

Never Finished!

I am going to my first party today!  I am linking up with Serenity Now's Show Me the Progress Party.  I hope I arrive altogether! 

It has taken approximately three years to get to this point. 

As you can see we still have got to seal it underneath.
Then the job of painting and hanging my ceiling fan.
(Already got that purchased.)  Just waiting.....

This was the beginning stages.  The whole family got
involved on this part.  (I made the tea!)

Contemplating what I wanted it to look like.
(Yes, that is hail that you see.)


I hope you have enjoyed looking at all the hard work.
I didn't even mention all the staining, cleaning, and  sealing.
But, it has all been worth it!
Let me just say High Maintenance.  You are not seeing all
of the deck.  It consists of over 900 sq. feet.

Welcome

Does our home say welcome? Do people feel relaxed? Do they feel like family? I listen for sighs of letting down... that thrills my heart! I know the cares of their world are coming off just for a moment.  Laughter, fellowship, and food are shared.  Lord, may we have the opportunity to open the door more and share our home and hearts.  But, Lord most of all may our visitors sense Your presence.
A Place of Peace and Orderliness.

I hope to open the door soon and share pictures of other places.
